Hi Mille! I live in Wellsboro ,PA. I'm really glad that you are trying to learn more about Alaska. We made masks to celebrate it. I hope the team is alright.

Hello my name is Ashley D. and I am eleven years old. I sure hope that you are having a good time on your trip. A lot of people like your website. In fact, someone went on this weekend and they said that they loved it. Well I sure hope that you make it home saftly. We all hope that you do. Got to go! Bye

Hey, Mick- How are you? We all miss you at school, but this really sounds like your kind of adventure. I will be very anxious to hear all about this opportunity when you come back to work (you ARE coming back, right?). Be sure and take lots and lots of pictures. Would you be willing to be a *Feature Friday* guest and tell the whole school about this? Think about it. Stay warm! Amy

Hey Aaron. I hope you and the rest of the crew are well and enjoying your last leg of the voyage. It was great to read/watch/hear all about your visit with the kids in Kaktovik. The people there look positively charming! What a gift to be able to celebrate with them in their native tradition. Wish I coulda been there. Meanwhile, my students were pumped about seeing the bracelets on the web page. They loved hearing the shout out to Orono schools, too. We had the web page up on the screen (LCD) and when they saw the pictures of you Drew shouted out *It looks like Aaron needs some coffee!* and someone else added, *And a good night's rest!* Too funny. A *carbon curbing* bracelet.... two dollars. Ten pounds of dog food.... six dollars. A pound of gorp.... three dollars. Paul with those big rubber ears on.... PRICELESS! Our thoughts and well wishes are with you and the rest of the crew. Can't wait to hear all about it. Maggie

We've been receiving your messages but I haven't had much time to really look at this website to figure out what the heck you're doing out in the wilds of Alaska. Not much time to do that now either...it's 65 degrees and sunny out so I've been mowing lawn, planting flowers and doing other spring time tasks. Just thought I'd send some warm thoughts your way...you can fall asleep thinking of green grass, tulips and blossoms on fruit trees! Take care, stay warm...see you back at school! Diane (L)

Hi Paul, Mille and the rest of the Team, Oh my what a breathtaking place but also what a treacherous place, the pictures are soo beautiful but reading about your going thru the passes I was holding my breath and I am not even there. We are all fine, this Saturday we are all walking for Brendan 3 miles around Lake Calhoun. It's a walk for C.F. and Len Feely is our Team leader, should be fun. Miss Emily is a hoot, she is talking and climbing out and over everything. She says Mommy, puppy, and Dattie. She's so much fun. Miss you and are anxious to see you , we are gearing up for Amand's big graduation soon. Stay Safe---- you are doing such important work and I truly admire all of you for doing this. Love Mom

Hey from Orono! We are all following your adventure. We went on the chat and I learned that the hindenberg didn't blow up from hydrogen. It was from the paint! That would be cool to have cars that only put out water vapor. how's the weather? is the next villiage you stop at the end? or do you have more people waiting for you at other places? we are cheering for you and thinking about how you all are doing. ms k's class

5/4/2006
Mick, I'm glad you're sending updates of your adventure to NMS! My children studied ANWR this year at school, so they're also very interested. What an experience! Have fun and I'll be anxious to hear more when you get back. Krista B.

Aaron, Still looking for the link for messages. How is it going. Shari and I enjoyed your family. We are moving in! Stay warm! Take care, Bill

5/3/2006
Mick, I can't believe that you would choose to romp about the Artctic over a night in the treehouse in northern Minnesota. We're excited about what you're doing, why you're doing it and where you are. Have a great time! Kurt, Betsey, Yarrow and Lily

5/3/2006
Hey Mr. Hamilton! Sweet expedition! Wish I were there... If you don't remember me, I'm Mr. Beck's son and I was in your class in 7th grade. Have a good time! David Beck

I'm a believer!!! OK...so, I read your email about being asked to participate, but didn't quite get that it meant you get to BE in Alaska for two weeks until I read the *Monday Note*. You lucky dog! I am just amazed and actually at a loss for words and a sarcastic comment. Rats. I hate it when that happens. Listened to your audio update before typing this out...sounds like a beautiful place. Enjoy, have fun, bring back great stories about your adventures. It will definitely make good conversation and I'll make sure that I don't have a curfew. From what I've read on the Polar Husky web page, I'm impressed with the mission. I wish all of you the best and applaud your efforts. Let's keep the last wild places on this Earth wild. See you in two weeks, Judi

5/2/2006
Mick-- Hoping you traveled and connected with the team safely on Sunday. I'm so excited to follow your adventure, as are all the folks at NMS! -Jan B.

Hi Henry! Thank you SO MUCH for connecting me with Raj Choudhury! Our final chat went extremely well, and it was a pleasure working with him. You have earned another home-cooked meal ... when will you be in MSP? :P Take care, Madison

5/2/2006
Paul and Mille Wow, what an incredible journey you are having and the photos are beautiful. I am sorry that I haven't written earlier but it seems that time flies when you have a very busy three year old boy running around. Brendan is doing great and has been very healthly this winter. He had a couple of sinus infections but other than that he is on top of his game and running his poor parents into the ground. His current favorite beside soccer, basketball, baseball and football is fishing. I took him to the park where the ducks swim in the pond for a little fishing. He decided after about 15 minutes that *no fish live in this pond, mom, only ducks, so I need a duck pole not a fishing pole!* He doesn't miss a beat. We have lots of stories to tell you about this little guy. Caitlin is doing really great playing soccer and violin right now. She is also taking swimming lessons and hanging out with friends. She's grown a ton and is almost as tall as me right now. Her birthday is in a couple of weeks and she'll be 11. Brendan just turned three last month. Rich and I are fine, running after the kids and enjoying spring in Portland. Hope to see you this summer...how about a trip to Portland once you get back from your big adventure. Lot of love Julie, Rich, Caite and Brendan
