Puppy Pen
Kinupok
Born the smallest puppy in the litter Kinupok was originally named Blue! We could not come up with a name that seemed just right, and when they are first born we mark them with nail polish to identify them easier as they all look alike. Her nail polish happened to be blue. Had it not been because there many generations back actually was a Polar Husky named blue, then the name probably would have stuck.
Now, Kinupok means 'lots of kisses' in Inuktituk the language of the Arctic Inuit people. No name could be more fitting to this little lover, who knew nothing better than to crawl up on your lab as a puppy just showering you with kisses. Since Kinu, as she is nick named, has grown older she is a little busy to give much more than a single kiss on the fly! Kinu is now very squarely, just like her mother Xena - and she is small and super athletic like her too. Whether it is because she can crawl through every hole and out again, or if it just in her nature, Kinu is an escape artist and quite the trouble maker, especially in tandem with her brother Big Pingo!
